Holy Name of Jesus Bereavement Ministry is pleased to host the following presentation:
Please join us in-person on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at HNJ for a presentation titled: Understanding Grief as a Journey & Navigating Difficult Times
Gae Savino, LCSW, CT, a New York State licensed clinical social worker & certified death, dying & bereavement counselor will speak with us about grief as a universal experience, yet a unique, individual journey.
During the presentation, Gae will identify the types of grief, the array of normal mixed grief emotions & offer strategies on how to best manage difficult times. She will also explore grief as a form of love as well as the whole-body impact of grief. She will suggest strategies on how to best adapt to and integrate grief into our lives as we find meaning. Grief as a transformative gift will be discussed. Additionally, Gae will converse about the role and importance of bereavement support groups as a safe space to share, find comfort and learn skills to help navigate difficult times throughout your grief journey. Questions and answers will be
entertained.
We invite you to register in advance. Please contact, Virginia Andriola at [email protected] by January 25, 2023. All individuals over the age of 21 are invited to attend. We look forward to your participation as you travel on this journey.
