After Hurricane Laura dropped a tree on the rectory roof, HNJ has been getting estimates for tree removal. There are presently six trees on the property – three on the hill behind the Church and three by the parking lot spaces in the front of the Church that need to be removed. Also there are a number of trees that are in in need of pruning.

Holy Name purchased a disinfectant atomizer that will spray CDC approved covid solution to help eliminate virus from our Church and Buildings. Also, Holy Name installed a bi-polar ionization device to improve the indoor air quality at Church.

His Eminence Timothy Cardinal Dolan has appointed Father Abraham Berko as the Administrator of Holy Name of Jesus effective September 1st.
Father Berko was ordained in 1998 and is currently serving as the Parochial Vicar at St. Rita’s Church in Staten Island.
Fr Bejoy will remain as the Temporary Administrator at Holy Name of Jesus until August 31st before he moves on to his new assignment.

With the additional protocals now in place to maintain parishioners safety, we have a need for additional ushers at each mass.
We especially need ushers for the SUNDAY 12 NOON Mass - It does not have to be a weekly commitment...it may be a couple of times a month..very flexible. Please consider volunteering and contact the rectory office to sign up.

or by appointment. Please follow the signs to new location of confession within church.

Masses requested for 9:00am during the weekdays, Saturday 5:00pm and Sunday 8:00am and 12:00noon WERE NOT CELEBRATED during this pandemic period of time.
Please call the rectory to reschedule these Masses to another day.
