Special THANK YOU to Sr. Laura Morgan for her insightful and wonderful presentation of Why Go To Mary!
Lovely Lady dressed in blue -------teach me how to pray!
God was just your little boy, tell me what to say!
Did you lift Him up, sometimes, gently on your knee?
Did you sing to Him the way mother does to me?
Did you hold His hand at night?
Did you ever try telling stories of the world?
O! And did He cry?
Do you really think He cares If I tell Him things -------little things that happen? And Do the Angels' wings make a noise?
And can He hear me if I speak low?
Does He understand me now?
Tell me -------for you know.
Lovely Lady dressed in blue -------teach me how to pray!
God was just your little boy, and you know the way.

You do not blink in the intimacy of a bedchamber
Your soul is awakened by sleep
Fragile flesh before angeli brilliance.
Your rumpled night sheets tossed aside
You listen in peace with your whole self
To the question that will define history.
Holding its breath for your answer
All heaven pauses.
LET IT BE DONE UNTO ME.
Here is begins, in such utter simplicity,
In quiet strength, at the appointed hour, with the ripple
of rungs of time at your feet,
And the broad lines of history at your back.
At the balance of His grace in your will,
Eve reborn, humanity to be redeemed...
Trhrough a child, from a virgin, whose name is MARY!
- When you find yourself tossed by the raging storms of this great sea of life, far from land, keep your eyes fixed on Mary, the Star of the Sea. When the winds of temptation or the rocks of tribulations threaten - CALL UPON MARY.
- When the waves of pride or ambition sweep over ou, when jelousy runs gainst you - CALL UPON MARY.
- If the horror of sin overshelms you and the voice of conscience terrifies you, if he fears of judgment, ssadmess, or despair clutches at your heart - CALL UPON MARY.
In dangers, doubts, or difficulities - CALL UPON MARY.
Keep her name on your lips, her live in your heart. Imitate her and her powerful intercession will surround you. Following her, you will stray. Meditate about her and you wil not err. Cling to her and you cannot fail. With her protection there is nothing to fear. With her encouragement, all is possible. The Son, who she birthed into being, has been given to us. Mary, teach us daily about the great love your child has for all of us.
Help us to say, as you did, "Thy will be done".
