The Eucharist "is the source and summit of the christian life, the sum and summary of our faith". (CCC)
If you feel called, as a member of our community, to assist the celebrant and the ordinary ministers in distributing the bread of life to your fellow parishioners, the home bound and residents in our area nursing homes; then your service in this ministry will be a true contribution to the devotion and orderly celebration of the mystery of faith.
The ministry is open to parishioners who are at least 18 years of age, catholics who have received First Holy Communion and Confirmation, who lead a life of faith, are reverential, of good moral character, free from any canonical penalty legitimately imposed or declared, and if married, be in a valid marriage according to the laws of the catholic church.
Training in the theology of ministry, the theology of the eucharist, pastoral and liturgical consideration, with an emphasis on familiarity with decorum are offered during the year as needed. If you are interested in this worthy ministry, please contact the rectory office.
