Soup Kitchen Thanks- Thanks so much to our parishioners who helped to serve a meal at St Bart's Soup Kitchen in White Plains last Sunday. "Chef Anna" planned a meal of roasted chicken legs, carrots, corn, mashed potatoes, and cupcakes for dessert. The food was greatly enjoyed and much appreciated by the 50 or so folks who were at the meal. Many thanks to Chef Anna, her sister Christina, and her niece Liz for helping to plan the meal, shop, cook, and serve. Thanks also to Joe and Dylan Suarez, Joelen Donohue, Mary Coleman, and Linda and Vincent Blizard who helped to serve the meal. Everyone there said the food was delicious! Thanks also to our parishioners who donated sneakers, jeans, long sleeved shirts/hoodies, and toiletries (that were sorted and bagged a few weeks ago). We took a carload of these items over, and both the volunteers and folks who came for the meal were so appreciative of all the donations. Everyone commented on how we have such a generous parish, always willing to help those in need.
Mashed Potato Thanks- Thanks so very much to all our parishioners who stepped up and volunteered to make mashed potatoes for folks at the soup kitchen: Joelen Donohue, Mary Coleman, Helene Douglas, Elizabeth Smith, Christine Brosnan, Megan Mukerji, and Marie Ruocco. They all delivered the potatoes nice and hot early on Sunday morning, and they were greatly enjoyed by all at the meal. Thanks so much for your willingness to help folks in need!
